HATCH was designed to develop and foster the growth of creative minds through mentorship.
Asheville will soon be home to an annual festival that showcases some of the world’s best creative artists in film, fashion, music, architecture, design, technology, journalism and photography. For four days each year, starting in Spring 2009, the Asheville HATCHfest will showcase film screenings, concerts, and exhibits of ground breaking creative artists from around the world. HATCH will also present numerous educational panels and labs that will be open to the general public for no charge.
HATCH gathers top professionals from around the world to act as mentors. Through a series of intimate workshops, panels, one-on-one collaborations and networking events, seasoned talents will share their unique perspectives and hard-learned about lessons attained through years of experience in their ever-changing industries. The Asheville HATCHfest will put Asheville’s best and brightest creative talents in touch with some of the best ground breaking creative artists and mentors from around the world. The result is a catalyst for networking and economic development.
The unique partnerships with up and coming talent, called Ground Breakers and industry professionals is unique in that it benefits both mentor and student. Some of the past mentors from Bozeman’s HATCH include Rodrigo Garcia (Gia, Four Rooms, Lola, Mi Vida Loca), Rick Schroder (Black Cloud, NYPD Blue, Lonesome Dove) , Chris Eyre (Smoke Signals, Edge of America) and Erica Huggins (Producer, and Senior Exec Imagine Entertainment).
